How to Delete a Document In Progress

A document that has been sent can still be deleted, even when the document is still in the process of being signed and viewed. Deleting a document in this way voids it and renders it inaccessible to all users including the sender. A record of the document will be left in the archive but the document itself will not be downloadable.

To remove the Document, click on More Options on the right of the document card, and then click Remove next to the trashcan icon.

On the Remove Document pop-up, you will be offered two checkboxes:

  • Notify Participants by email (This lets all signers know the document has been deleted)

  • Redirect me to the send page (Use this option if you made a mistake with the previous document and need to recreate the document)

As soon as the document is deleted, it will disappear from the Dashboard.
