How to generate an API key

To use the Legalesign API, your account must first be authorised to generate a username and key. Read this article on how to get verified for API access.

Important: API users must set up Two Factor Authentication for their Legalesign account (do not use SSO).

Using your Legalesign account credentials, log into your API Dashboard to generate your unique username and key here: https://logs.legalesign.com/

Click on Config, then on Generate Key.

The authorisation header consists of the Username (a 16-digit UUID) and then, separated by a colon: the API key itself. You will need to split these up if you insert them into some API integrations.
