Documents Sent For eSignature
Two-Factor Authentication for eWitnessing
2FA signing can be enabled for all recipients, including Signers, their eWitnesses, and Approvers. After receiving an email to sign a document, recipients will be asked for the 6-digit One-Time Password (OTP) sent to them via an SMS to the recipient’s phone number, before accessing the document.
This can be enabled on a per send basis using the Recipient options menu on the Send page, or to set the Team default and have this enforced with every send:
Go to Presets > Experiences > select the Base Experience > Edit Experience > Options > Witness Options
A
At the bottom, there are three options relating to 2FA signing:
Witness must use signer’s device: both the Signer and their Witness must use the same device to sign and attest the document during a single browser cookie session.
Witnessing requires SMS for signer: the Signer receives an SMS message with their OTP.
Witnessing requires SMS for witness: the eWitness receives an SMS message with their OTP.
If you don't have the eWitness's details to hand, click Decide later to let the Signer nominate them before accessing the document.
