How to set passwords for contracts

You can encrypt your PDFs with passwords when they are fully signed.

This feature requires user admin permissions.

Click your team name on the top left of the screen, click on the cogwheel icon on the right of the dropdown menu to visit the Group Settings page, and then click PDF Security.

Click the Password dropdown and then scroll down to pick your preferred option. If you are mandating a PDF password then you will need to insert a password to use. Click the 'eye' icon on the right to see what you are typing. Then click 'Save Changes' to confirm.

You can select either for us to keep the password (i.e. so it is retrievable from us later), or for us to delete it once the document is created.

If you choose for us to delete the password after it is set, then the password will be shown to signers ONCE on the download page after they sign the document. If the password is lost then the document will no longer be accessible.
