Emails

What to do if an email fails to reach a recipient

Try each of these options in turn to see which helps you:

Add an Email Message

Here is an example of a personalised message:

Dear {{signer_firstname}},

I hope this finds you well. I've sent you a document through our secure eSignature service Legalesign.

To make this process straightforward:

  1. Follow the link button below to see your document

  2. Review the contents

  3. Follow the on-screen instructions and complete the form

Once completed, you'll receive a copy for your records

If you have any questions, please email me at the address: {{sender_email}}.

Once all parties have completed the document, it will be certified to ensure it is tamper-proof and made available for download.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Best regards,

{{sender_firstname}}

There is a guide on creating Email Messages available here.

If that is unsuccessful then you can try:

Strip HTML

Click your team name on the top left of the screen, click on the cogwheel icon on the right of the dropdown menu to visit the Group Settings page,

Add the domain of the email (if the email is joe@bloggs.com, the domain would be bloggs.com). Then send a reminder or new email to the recipient.

Stripped HTML means that images are now removed from emails to that domain. Your logo and the ability to know when a person reads the email will be removed.

Whitelist Legalesign Domains

The recipient will need to check with their email provider or IT team.

If the email is being blocked, the IT team will need to whitelist the following domains:

We use Amazon for our notification emails, so please also allow:

  • amazonscs.com

and emails from:

  • notifications@legalesign.com

  • support@legalesign.com

Once these domains and addresses have been added to the whitelist please try sending the document again and then check to see if it was received.
