A stronger, simpler way to sign in to Legalesign

We’ve introduced an upgraded authentication system for Legalesign, designed to make signing in clearer, more reliable, and more secure.

The new system is fully up to date and improves the way we handle single sign-on, including smoother SSO login flows for organisations that use identity providers to manage access. It also adds new ways to access your account, including email-me-a-code login and passkey authentication.

Passkeys are now available in Legalesign in line with current best practice and guidance from the UK National Cyber Security Centre. The NCSC recommends using passkeys wherever they are available, describing them as a more secure alternative to passwords because they are resistant to common risks such as phishing, interception, reuse, and theft.  

Passkeys offer a convenient and secure way to sign in without relying on a traditional password. They are designed to work with modern devices and browsers, using the secure sign-in methods already built into trusted devices.

It is important to note that passkeys do not replace two-factor authentication. For strong account protection, we recommend using both passkey authentication and two-factor authentication as standard. Read more about how to add two-factor authentication on Legalesign.

The upgraded system also supports major European languages and UK languages, helping make sign-in clearer and more accessible for teams working across different regions and language preferences.

The upgraded authentication system is now available for new sign ups. We’ll enable it for existing customers soon, and will provide more information before that rollout begins.
