November update from Legalesign eSignature

Here is a quick update on recent happenings, and the soon to come, at Legalesign. If you would like to hear more details get in touch through email or phone.

We are pleased to announce the renewal of our ISO27001 certification. This is an annual event involving a rigorous on-site audit of our data security policies and to check practices are being implemented. The inspection also provides us with an opportunity to get an external expert opinion on our processes and find ways to improve our data security. Data security is not static but a continual monitoring and improvement process and the ISO ensures we are doing that while adhering to industry best practice.

Looking ahead, our compliance will now be focusing on the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) that are coming into force on 25th May 2018. We are undertaking a full review now, with implementation phase anticipated early 2018, followed by an external professional GDPR audit in March to confirm compliance. This ensures we can give our customers surety on GDPR compliance well in advance of the deadline date. Learn more about eSignature GDPR feature set.

On the technical side, you can expect continual upgrades over the coming months. Most recently we have implemented unlimited e-signing experiences at a per-signer level, providing our customers with super fine-grained control over the e-signing process.

Previously, the signing experience (for example this includes the logo on the signing page) was confined to one option per team. With the new upgrade, those options can be duplicated and applied individually on a per-signer level. This means two signers could have a completely different signing experience, with different brands and messaging, even languages, while signing the same document.

Coming soon you can expect significant improvements in how documents are sent through Legalesign. These will cut down our customers' admin time, improve fault tolerance, and enhance document management in enterprise signing scenarios.
