We’ve added a new small but powerful feature to make your electronic signature workflow more flexible — you can now re-assign sender fields to recipients when sending a document.

Why this helps you

In Legalesign, a sender field is a field you complete before sending a document, while a signer field is filled in by your recipient.

Until now, you either had to collect sender field information in order to send a document, or you had to force clients through step-by-step form fields to confirm inputs, even though that information is already confirmed.

With this update, you now can apply the information you have flexibly. You have don't have to collect all the information to still send a document, but if you do have it, you make your client experience fantastic as they see the document personalised and ready to go - no delays, no extra admin.

This feature is perfect for situations where your client has already provided their details, or when you don’t have all the data on hand. You can choose whether to pre-fill the information yourself or let the recipient handle it. Either way, it keeps your document automation process fast and frustration-free.

How to use it

  1. Click to send your document.

  2. Add your document name.

  3. Scroll to the Sender fields section.

  4. Next to any field, click the button to re-assign it to a recipient.

No value is required — even if the field is marked “required.”
