Legalesign Successfully Certified for ISO 27001:2022

We’re pleased to share that Legalesign has been certified for ISO 27001:2022, upgrading from the previous 2016 standard.

The new 2022 standard re-organises some clauses and incorporates several new categories of control. The Legalesign information management system has been updated to include them all, including web filtering, data masking, threat intelligence, change management policies and procedures, and more.

The International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) 27001 is the global standard for information security, providing organisations with a framework to protect data, meet compliance, and focus on continuous improvement.

Audit Day

This year's audit was conducted in person. The auditor arrived at the Legalesign office, ready to review every aspect of Legalesign’s information security setup. From policies and procedures to employees’ understanding of security practices, they thoroughly examined each part of the system.

Auditors aim to identify areas for improvement or flag any risks to certification. For Legalesign, a company that relies heavily on customer trust, keeping this certification is a must.

What ISO 27001 Means for Legalesign Customers

As an eSignature provider, trust is at the core of Legalesign’s business. Clients rely on Legalesign to handle their sensitive, business-critical documents securely. ISO 27001 provides that reassurance, showing customers that the company’s commitment to security isn’t just words—it’s verified through an independent external audit.

Continuous Improvement

One of the best aspects of ISO 27001 is its focus on continuous improvement. Legalesign eSignature has been certified for ISO 27001 since 2015, and adopting this standard early helped Legalesign build strong security practices. This approach keeps the security measures aligned with company growth, embedding security as a core part of the business.

Why is ISO 27001 Important to Legalesign?

For Legalesign, ISO 27001 is essential. The certification helps protect against cyber threats, strengthens customer trust, and supports regulatory compliance. It’s not just about keeping data safe; it sets us apart in the market and strengthens customer relationships.
