Install Legalesign as an App in Chrome (and Pin It to Your Taskbar or Dock)

Ben Eliott
If you use Legalesign regularly, the simplest upgrade you can make is to install it as an app in Chrome and pin it to your taskbar (Windows) or Dock (Mac).
That gives you a one-click way to open Legalesign in its own window — without needing to find the right tab, or keep it sitting in your browser all day.
It’s not a traditional desktop install. You’re still running Legalesign through Chrome — but in a focused, app-style window, with a shortcut that behaves like any other application on your machine.
What does “Install as app” actually do?
Chrome can wrap certain web apps into what it calls an “installed app”. In practice that means:
Legalesign opens in its own dedicated window
You get a proper shortcut you can pin and launch from your usual place
The window is less cluttered (no tab bar, fewer browser distractions)
For people who send, chase, or manage agreements frequently, that small change can make Legalesign feel like part of your desktop workflow — not just another browser tab.
Windows (Chrome): Install and pin to the taskbar
Open Legalesign in Chrome
Click the three dots (top right)
Go to: Cast, save and share
Click: Install Legalesign Console
Confirm: Install
Now pin it:
Open the installed Legalesign window
Right-click the icon on the taskbar
Choose Pin to taskbar
That’s the main win: Legalesign is now a fixed, one-click tool, like Outlook or Teams.
If you don’t see “Install…”
Use More tools → Create shortcut… and tick Open as window. It’s a close alternative.
Mac (Chrome): Install and keep it in the Dock
Open Legalesign in Chrome
Click the three dots (top right)
Go to: Cast, save and share
Choose: Install Legalesign…
Confirm: Install
Now keep it in the Dock:
Open the installed Legalesign app window
Right-click it in the Dock
Choose Options → Keep in Dock
You can also find it in Applications and launch it from Spotlight.
How to remove it (Windows + Mac)
There are two straightforward ways.
Option 1: Remove it from the app window
Open the installed Legalesign window
Click the three dots
Choose Uninstall Legalesign…
Confirm
Chrome may ask whether you want to clear site data as well — that’s optional. Uninstalling removes the shortcut either way.
Option 2: Remove it from Chrome’s app list
In Chrome, go to: chrome://apps
Find Legalesign
Right-click → Remove from Chrome
Confirm
A quick rule of thumb
If Legalesign is something you open most days, treat it like the other tools you rely on: install it, pin it, and stop hunting for the tab.
It takes about a minute, and it’s reversible.
