Legalesign has a RESTful API that is accessible online using any language with a https library. All the functions of Legalesign are accessible through the API; you can use one function, or fully integrate and never visit the Legalesign website.
We're on hand at all times for support during and after integration development, so contact us if you have any issues and we'll help you debug. Most developers breeze through it, and a couple have open-sourced their work (in Node.js and PHP). See links to these and API documentation below.
There are three main ways you can manage documents through the API - either upload a new PDF each time to send out, refer to a PDF you set up on Legalesign already, or use the HTML system. While more primitive than PDF, the power of HTML is that you can easily fully construct your documents your side and send it out for signature in just 1 API call - you still end up with a Certified PDF when signed. "Integrating Legalesign via its API into a customers solution worked flawlessly. The attention to detail within the front end of the product is great and the backend API is equally thought through. Any questions that I did have were answered very quickly and thoroughly...The quality of integration is great, and if you have specific features you need I would highly recommend partnering with Legalesign."
Trevor Gildesleeve, Cloudbase Software Inc.
